Physics 312 Lecture: "Heat, Temperature, and Ideal Gas Law"
Apr 30, 1998
- Temperature is a measure of molecular motion
- We use the freezing and boiling points of water to define
temperature scales
- The Kelvin scale starts at absolute zero (about -273 degrees Celsius),
the temperature at which molecular motion would cease
This lecture discusses material in Chapter 19 of Serway.
