You decide to take a vacation next month and walk the Appalachian Trail, which stretches from Springer Mountain, Georgia, to Katahdin, Maine. How many strides will it take you to cover this distance? A stride is the distance between two successive left steps.
Write your estimate in large letters on your board, so that the entire class will be able to read it.
