How to pass this class, or fail it
If you wish to succeed in this class,
- attend every class meeting
- pay attention in class
- ask questions if you don't understand some point
- spend 5 minutes each night going over the material
covered in the latest lecture
- do homework in groups (if this method works for you),
and discuss the problems until you understand each one
- contact the instructor and/or your advisor if things
aren't going well; do so before the midterm
If you wish to fail this class,
- don't bother showing up
- sleep or doodle during the classes you attend
- be cool -- never show ignorance by asking questions
- study twice per quarter: the night before the midterm,
and the night before the final
- don't waste time trying to understand a problem --
just get the answers from the book or a fellow student,
and move on to the next one
