- It is convenient to express the mass of atoms and molecules
in atomic mass units
- One mole of a substance has the a mass (in grams) equal to
the mass (in atomic mass units) of its molecules
- One mole of a substance contains Avagadro's number of molecules:
N(A) = 6.022x10^23
- The ideal gas law relates pressure, volume, temperature and
number of moles for a gas
